As the industry leader in erosion control, our ScourGuard™ Composite Armor Turf Reinforcement Mat is a permeable, permanent solution designed to reduce soil erosion while encouraging grass growth.
ScourGuard is comprised of an HDPE oscillated structure mesh and a polypropylene fiber backing providing a reinforcement layer in the upper profile of the soil structure. ScourGuard uses the mesh to provide a spread load over the polypropylene fibers. This protects the soil from erosion against high velocities and shear while also giving a reinforced surface layer.
ScourGuard has been tested and proven to provide the ultimate protection against channel erosion compared to other turf reinforcement mats on the market. Depending on the application, ScourGuard can be delivered as a rolled erosion control product or a standardized pad and simply pinned to the ground using sod pins, twist anchors, or earth percussion driven anchors.
